Becoming THE Authority In Your Industry

It’s never been more important to learn how to stand out in your industry so that you don’t get left behind or lost in a sea of other people offering the same service as you. The secret is learning how to FEEL like an authority and then PRESENT yourself as a leader in the online space.

Since 2020 there have been so many people joining the online space. Chances are, regardless of what your niche is, there are 1000’s of people doing what you do, offering a service which YOU offer. It’s never been more important to learn how to stand out online.

Here are 5 tips on how to become an authority:

1. It starts with you. There is a certain amount of experience that you’ll need to feel like an authority, but so many people WAIT until they feel like it, with little/ no action behind it. You must hone your craft. Practice is EVERYTHING when it comes to being an authority. Don’t wait and get as much practice as you can under your belt.

2. Lean into who YOU are and what YOU found useful in your journey. For me, breathwork was a massive part of my journey. What can you introduce into your business that’s a part you? Think about it! What is it that makes you completely and entirely unique? What experiences have you had? What modalities worked for you? What are you so passionate about that you could talk about for days? When you start to get crystal clear on these things, you train/study/get certified and PRACTICE, you can become that expert very quickly. Things move quickly in the online space!

3. Position yourself as an authority. When you’re being apologetic and watering yourself down, your message gets lost in a sea of other people doing the same thing. How can  you start to take up space? How can you own your polarising opinions? What are the things keeping you up at night? What things do you feel slightly nervous to share because you’re worried you might get cancelled? It’s these messages that people need to hear. It’s these messages that get people to take action, that show YOU as the authority in your industry .

4. Are you shouting about what you’re doing from the rooftops? Modest entrepreneurs get left behind. Your modesty is hurting your business and cash flow. Learn how to pitch yourself, take up space and be passionate about what you’re doing.

5. Stand out in your industry. I will always overdeliver and underpromise. My aim is to blow peoples minds. I lead with value. That’s how I stand out in my industry with such passion, dedication, love and adoration for what I do that it becomes impossible to ignore.
